The Umbral Sporecallers cult has spread its reach to the town of Weitwasser, a partially underground settlement with buildings carved into valley walls and a lakeside port below the surface that was once a trade hub.

Certain underground parts of the town have become the breeding ground for otherworldly fungal growth, a growing maze of rot that corrupts the minds of the townspeople like an infection, making them unwilling and, at first, even unaware, servants of the cult. The party arrives during an execution held by the Knights of The Sapphire Bond.

They claim to be executing a traitor to the town, though the prisoner pleads innocence. An investigation unfolds as the party tries to uncover the Knights’ secrets, find the fungal growth’s epicenter, and fight against the cultists who protect.

Will you manage to save the people of Weitwasser or will you succumb to the powers of Ymircyne and let the infestation spread to the Drifting Heavens?

Tome of Demons Vol. IV is a Fifth Edition adventure for four to six (4-6) 6th level characters. By the end of the adventure the characters should reach 7th level. Due to the nature of the adventure, characters skilled in investigation, those with the ability to detect and cure disease, and those with abilities useful against demons and/or plants will have an advantage.
