In the fey realm of Argantos, a werewolf warrior named Draevan fell in love with Eloriel, a handmaiden of the moon goddess Celadren. Their love was forbidden—Eloriel was selected to become a Twilight Sylph, and lycanthropes in love became volatile in battle—and so Draevan was banished to the mortal world. Touched by the couple’s devotion, Celadren gifted Draevan a Moontear, a magical amulet allowing him to interact with Eloriel once every full moon. The Moontear eventually drew the attention of Nyxarion, a diminished fey noble exiled from Argantos for attempting to disrupt the balance between the sun and moon.

Desperate to reclaim his power, Nyxarion and his fey servants tried to steal the Moontear and use it to return to Argantos. Sensing danger, Draevan hid the amulet in the vault of the noblewoman he worked for. Unable to breach the vault, Nyxarion enlisted a local gang, manipulating them through a drug-addicted nightclub singer with ties to one of the thieves. But when the heist succeeded, Draevan—unable to reunite with his love under the full moon—succumbed to a feral rage, hunting down and murdering the gang members one by one.

As the characters begin investigating the murders, they are caught in a chaotic search for the missing amulet, forced to piece together the tangled web of events before dawn.

Can you untangle the mystery before it is too late? Quickly! The night won’t last forever... but your choices might.

Moondance - Shadows of Argantos is a Fifth Edition adventure for four to six adventurers with an average party level (APL) of 2. Due to the nature of this adventure, characters focused on investigation and social skills will have an advantage.
