Wyrmwood Vale is an ancient land born from the lifeblood of a primal dragon whose sacrifice shaped the natural world. At its heart lies the hidden Heartglade, a mystical grove where life radiates from the Wyrmwood Heart—the still living core of the dragon’s essence. This relic sustains the valley’s balance, ensuring the eternal cycle of nature endures.
The valley’s denizens are untamed, sylvan creatures. They live by a relentless law of hunt or be hunted, each uniquely adapted to survive within the valley’s harsh, primordial ecosystem. Protected by the Spirit of the Valley — a towering stag-centaur champion of Kernunos, embodying the valley’s protective will — the Wyrmwood Heart has remained hidden and untouched for millenia.
Recently, the demon Rhashlam has sought to disrupt this potent source of natural power. Deceiving the Spirit of the Valley, Rhashlam has planted the belief that the time has come for the Wyrmwood Heart to pass on its gift to worthy beings of a new generation. Simultaneously, he has begun whispering to ambitious or desperate mortals, enticing them with promises of strength hidden within the valley. His true goal is to shatter the valley’s harmony, corrupting or draining the Wyrmwood Heart’s power for his own ends.
Now, groups of explorers converge on the valley, threatening the natural order that has held for centuries.
